1. Love Adonai
A rocking version of the V'ahavta prayer from liturgy. With all your heart, with all your soul, with all your might!

2. Haporeis Sukkat Shalom
Bruce Springsteen meets the Neville Brothers. This yearning song aches for God's shelter of peace.

3. Sim Shalom

A folk version of the morning prayer for peace. Composer Robin Taback died 15 years ago, and her mother, Lou Ann, is helping keep her memory alive by having Jewish musical artists record Robin's gorgeous melodies on a forthcoming recording produced by Sababa's own Scott Leader. Robbi Sherwin is one of the featured artists, along with Julie Silver, Beth Schafer, Stacy Beyer, and others.

4. Ashrey
Filled with surprises (check out the Eleanor Rigby-inspired strings on the bridge!),  Ashrey lives up to its title as a very joyful prayer. "Happy are those who dwell in Your house, they will sing Your praise forever!"  Written in Denver and Austin.

5. Ma'ariv Aravim
A haunting, atmospheric reflection on the blessing recited as evening descends. Scott's gorgeous piano work juxtaposed against the powerful tympanis creates an unforgettable mood.

6. Lo Alecha
A driving rock ballad based on words from Pirkei Avot (Ethics of the Fathers)Sababa was challenged by Joe Eglash (oySongs.com) to write a new version of these important words: "It is not our duty to complete the work; but neither are we free to refrain from it." Written high in the Rockies near Frisco, Colorado, July, 2006.

7. Ashreinu
An ethereal prayer of thankfulness for the many blessings in our lives. Written in Denver during the Bat Mitzvah weekend of Sophie Singer; finished in Austin and Frisco.

8. Birkat Shalom
A rockin' version of Oseh Shalom and Yih'yu L'ratzon from the Amidah liturgy.  After a very prolific writing session in the Rocky Mountains, Robbi made Scott and Steve stay where they were and write just one more rockin' song!

9. One Little, Two Little
